Is he Excited? Nervous? Worried? Or all of the above? There are many thoughts that are going through his mind before the baby arrives. Ladies, I know we have a tremendous amount of challenges that we are experiencing during pregnancy. We’ve got hormones bouncing all over the place like Mexican jumping beans, symptoms that make you want to cry, scream and vomit at the same time, and a belly so big, you are wobbling around like the March of the Penguins!
There is so much going on and sometimes we tend to overlook what our Baby Daddy is going through. He may have doubts in his mind, questioning if he will be a good father. He may have perfectly valid concerns about your finances and what he can do to bring home more cheddar. And plus, the very thought of the Delivery Day may make him want to ‘soil’ his pants (haha, that’s the nicest way I can put it)!
His very 1st Father’s Day is literally just around the corner, and if you haven’t already made plans, here are some creative tips to make his 1st Father’s Day Unforgettable…
- Plan a short escape for him: Let him release some worries and anxiety by having him spend the day to himself, with his buddies or his favorite hobby. Let him disconnect temporarily from the whole baby scene and build up some testosterone points.
- ‘You’re the Best’ Daddy Video: Break out the ‘lipstick and rouge’ and make a short video starring you. Tell him how much you appreciate him and everything he does. How you know he will be a great Father and most importantly, Thank Him for supporting you.
- Dinner & Some Lovin: The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach (it’s totally true). So make or buy his favorite meal, and don’t forget to include his drink of choice. Get yourself dolled up and if you’re not too tired, give him a little after-dinner lovin. But don’t get too crazy. You don’t want baby to arrive early!
So the biggest things are, show him how much you genuinely appreciate his support and give me an outlet to release his stress so he doesn’t pass out in the delivery room. Up until now, your pregnancy has been all about you, and rightly so, it’s tough! But definitely make it all about him this weekend.
Good luck ladies. And for all the mommas that have already passed this 1st Father’s Day benchmark, please share with our Baby Café readers on what you did for your man. Help our sisters out!
