You don’t need to break the bank to create an adorable nursery for your baby. All it takes is a little creativity. Spend your money on the essential items like baby crib (buy new to ensure it meets US safety standards) and changing table (so you know baby is safe during diaper changes) and then have some fun with the rest.
Baby Inspired Art
Get some inexpensive frames that match your nursery furniture finish and then create your own baby-inspired artwork. Use your baby’s hands and feet along with paint to create some colorful masterpieces that will add a personal touch to the room.
Dip your baby’s hands or feet in non-toxic paint and stamp your child’s prints onto paper. You can arrange the handprints into a flower design or simply do a combo of colored hands and feet and add your baby’s name in the center. If you’re a bit artistic you could even paint a bear, dog or kitty and use your baby’s hand prints as the ears or paint a duck and use your child’s foot prints as the feet. You might even want to do an entire animal theme of pictures and place your baby-print inspired artwork around the room. Place your colorful pictures in frames and voila…you have artwork that is inexpensive, yet absolutely adorable!
