I came across some absolutely adorable and stunning nursery pictures that I just had to share. I applaud the parents who designed these nurseries for using their creativity to come up with cheap and unique ways to create amazing baby spaces.
These amateur decorators seemed to use one main thing as a form of inspiration for the entire room design: either color combos, themes or a pretty accessory. After you check out each nursery design I’m sure that your imagination will be sparked to create a very special and unique nursery that you and your baby will love!
Super Hero Theme
Any little boy would love being surrounded by super heroes! This is a simple theme to create in the nursery. You can print out pictures of several cool super heroes and put the pictures into some cheap picture frames to hang on the wall. Then you could print out two of your favorite super hero pictures, take them to any print shop like Kinkos and have them blown up to poster size. Then cut them out and tape or use wallpaper glue to add them to the wall. Then get baby bedding in colors that match the larger pictures and your baby’s nursery will instantly become a place of wonder and adventure!
Homemade Flowers and Mobile
The mobile and flowers that hang from the ceiling in this nursery were made at this mom’s baby shower. This is something you can do with friends or on your own. Simply get some origami paper and string and make some cute paper critters to hang from the ceiling. Then get some tissue paper to create the big round flowers that will add even more intrigue and beauty above your baby’s crib.
Cloth from Zimbabwe as Inspiration
I love how this family created an entire nursery decor based around a beautiful cloth that was made in Zimbabwe. They used the mix of vibrant colors including Orange and Purple on the walls and added simple, black and white decals that are sure to excite their baby. With these simple touches the nursery decor really pops and they’ve managed to create a very cheerful and beautiful looking baby space.
Blue and Tan Squares
This family started with some simple tan colored nursery items like a glider, ottoman and carpet and then used fun shades of blue and tan on the walls to create an amazing looking baby room. By adding squares of different colors to only one wall, they’ve created a very artistic looking space without the need for expensive art work. This is easy to do. Just get some painter’s tape and three shades of blue paint and a tan paint that matches the chair. Measure out and pencil square grids on the wall and put tape on the lines then paint inside the taped areas to create the colorful squares.
I hope that these pictures have inspired you to get creative with your nursery design to add uniqueness to the space without having to spend the big bucks.
